Eileen Weitzel OD
CEO

Dr. Weitzel graduated from the University of NC at Charlotte in 1985, where she majored in Biology.

 In 1989, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry (Chicago, Il). 

From her training, she is highly skilled in full-scope optometry and has extensive experience in the specialties of Contact Lenses, Geriatrics and Women’s health.  One of her passions is women’s health as it relates to medical health conditions. Conditions such as dry eye may be due to menopause, birth control medication or allergy medications. Certain conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis or breast cancer treatments may have a negative impact on the eye and vision.  

She has actively participated in the Gift of Sight mission trips to help underprivileged people receive quality eye care. She has gone to Haiti, Bolivia, Ecuador, Honduras and the Ukraine. She also volunteered locally for vision van missions sponsored by the Lion’s Club. 

She is a locum tenens at 20/20 Vision Center after 35 years in practice. She resides with her husband in Palm Coast, Florida 8 months out of the year and the rest of the time in NC.  She has 3 married daughters and 5  grandchildren.   

In her spare time she enjoys travel, reading, pickleball, and spending time in her gourmet kitchen cooking.  

Erica Morris OD

Dr. Erica Morris is a native of Ohio and holds a license to practice in both Ohio and NC. She completed her Doctorate of Optometry from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2002. She earned her BA and BS Degrees in Zoology at Miami University in 1998. She has been in practice at 20/20 Vision Center since 2003. Her specialty is contact lens fitting, evaluation, prescribing and customizing each fit for every patient. She enjoys the youthful pre-teens, the after cataract contact fittings and everything in between. Dr. Morris only uses the latest technology when it comes to contacts because they promote healthy eyes and compliant patients. Dr. Morris has participated in the Gift of Sight mission trip to Mexico to help underprivileged people receive quality eye care. The 8 doctors who went on this mission examined nearly 20,000 people and prescribed donated glasses. She is an active member of the Coastal District Optometric Society, the NC State Optometric Society, the American Optometric Association and is a member of the PEO women’s organization. She resides in Greenville with her husband, Jay Morris, Ph.D., and their two daughters.

Kelvin Nunez Compres MD, OD

Dr. Kelvin Nunez Compres hails from the Dominican Republic and brings his expertise to the field of optometry. As a licensed professional, he tackles the full spectrum of eye care, from comprehensive exams and contact lens fittings to treating and managing most eye conditions.Dr. Nunez Compres’ dedication to his craft is evident in his educational background. He earned his Doctor in Medicine degree in his home country before tackling the Doctor of Optometry program at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, graduating in 2024.Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nunez Compres enjoys a fulfilling family life alongside his wife, Keilly, and their adorable children, Sebastian and Camila. They make their home in Greenville, where Dr. Nunez Compres spends his free time indulging in his passions for reading, astronomy, and exploring diverse cultures and cuisines.

Samantha Myers OD, FAAO

Dr. Samantha Myers is a native of Pennsylvania  and completed her BS degree at the University of Pittsburgh in 2014 with a degree in Biology. 

She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2018. 

After earning her O.D. degree, she went  on to complete her residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2019.  

Dr. Myers was an Assistant Professor at the Kentucky College of Optometry from 2019 to 2023, where she taught clinical skills, contact lens, and ocular disease courses as well as worked with students and patients in the clinical setting. 

She specializes in Contact Lenses, especially Scleral Lens fittings, Dry Eye, and Anterior Segment Disease.  

Outside of the office she enjoys public speaking in her profession and has lectured at various continuing education events for optometrists across the country. 

Dr. Myers is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and an active member of the Coastal District Optometric Society, the NC State Optometric Society, and the American Optometric Association, and is on the board of directors of Prevent Blindness NC; a nonprofit health agency whose mission is to prevent blindness and preserve sight through direct services and programs, education and advocacy. 

Dr. Myers resides in Chocowinity with her husband and daughter.
